The first “Nanostructure in the City” Symposium was successfully held this Monday (the 18th of August). The one-day long symposium offered every participant the opportunity to share their research work, interact with students/scientists from different disciplines. Throughout the day there were four sessions, 15 speakers bringing in a wide variety of PDF-related research topics ranging from solving exotic nanostructure, observing in-situ growth of nanoparticles, computed tomography PDF through searching for symmetry breaking in correlated electron system to stimulating way of implementing peer instruction in the classroom. Everyone enjoyed the symposium and is looking forward to the second symposium in the near future.
