Kirsten is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen. Kirsten started her postdoc in the Billinge group in October 2013 after obtaining her PhD from Aarhus University in Denmark. In Aarhus, she worked in Prof. Bo B. Iversen’s group in the Center for Materials Crystallography on understanding the mechanisms that take place when inorganic materials form in solution. At Columbia, she used X-ray PDF to study the structures of ultrasmall nanoclusters in an effort to understand the structure-property relation on the nanoscale, in addition to developing and using new thin-film and computed tomography PDF techniques.

Kirsten’s publications can be found here.
