Chenyang Shi wins poster award at NSLS Users’ Meeting

Current group member Chenyang Shi won the poster presentation contest at 2014 NSLS/NSLS II and CFN Users’ meeting. A total of 38 posters were in the contest with only 3 winners chosen as standouts.

Soham Banerjee awarded The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship

Soham, first year grad student working in the group was selected as a 2014 NDSEG Fellow, funded by the Department of Defense. NDSEG Fellowships last for three years and pay for full tuition, mandatory fees, and a monthly stipend. His proposal focused on using ctPDF to investigate mesoscale heterogeneities in complex materials. Congrats Soham!

Professor Billinge elected Fellow of the Neutron Scattering Society of America

Prof. Billinge wins a Fulbright Research Scholarship

Professor Billinge is on Sabbatical this year at the Institut Laue Langevin (ILL) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), which share the same site in Grenoble, France.
