Professor Billinge is on Sabbatical this year at the Institut Laue Langevin (ILL) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), which share the same site in Grenoble, France. He was recently awarded a prestigious Fulbright research scholarship which helps support his activities in France.
Congratulations to Yingrui Shang for completing a successful postdoc period with the group and landing a faculty position at Tianjin University in China (http://www.tju.edu.cn/english/). Good luck with the next stage of your career Yingui!
Congratulations to Jiwu Liu for completing a successful post-doc position in the group and landing a job at Amazon in Seattle. Good luck selling books Jiwu and thanks for all your contributions to the group.
In 2010, former graduate student, Xiangyun Qiu, who after leaving the group did a postdoc at Cornell University and then at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda Maryland, took up a tenure track assistant professor position at George Washington University in Washington DC. Congratulations to Xiangyun, and very well deserved.
